Please note, to ensure you maximise the chances of your application for deduction of benefit being successful that the below apply –

• Tenant must still be resident in your property and tenancy still active
• Tenant can NOT have left your property as you will be no longer eligible
• Tenant must be in receipt of a qualifying benefit as above
• If awarded the deduction of benefit must make the tenancy sustainable and assist the tenant to remain in the tenancy!
• The full deduction awarded must be deducted in full from the tenants debt

Conditions

AMRP fee is a non-refundable application fee for submission of the application for deduction of benefits – to maximise your chances of an award being secured please ensure the below are correct:

1. Tenancy is still active, and tenant remains resident at the tenancy address

2. Tenant is in receipt of qualifying benefit as below:

• Income Support
• Income-Based Jobseekers allowance ( JSA )
• Pension Credit
• Income-related Employment and Support Allowance ( ESA )
• Incapacity Benefit
• Passport to incapacity benefit
• Widows Benefit
• Widows Mothers Allowance
• State Retirement Pension

3. All other options to work with the tenant to maintain the tenancy have been explored and failed

4. If awarded, as landlord you must agree to inform the awarding authority if –

• The tenancy comes to an end
• The arrears are cleared

Should either of the above 2 happen, entitlement ceases and as landlord you must inform the awarding authority to cease deduction payments to you.
